Kia ora and welcome to Maruia School,

We are an incredibly special school that provides an engaging and relationship-based primary education for our tamariki. We are a school that is passionate about, and strive towards ensuring that each child feels successful and empowered in their learning journey. We celebrate growth alongside achievement and together; student, staff, whānau and community, we work hard to ensure that each child reaches their own unique potential. We do this by having a shared vision for our school, ensuring that current pedagogy and professional experience is embedded in our teaching and learning programmes, by having consistent and robust systems in place and by embracing our unique and beautiful land that surrounds us in our learning.

We are more than just a school, we are a whānau. Many of our children are third generation students of Maruia School. We, as a community, are invested and committed to ensuring our children receive a high quality education. An education which meets the needs of each child and connects our students to each other, our whānau and our whakapapa. I feel so privileged to teach and lead this school and am extremely proud of our amazing kura.
