About Our Kura

Maruia School is located in the heart of the Maruia Valley and is made up of nineteen students, seven staff, six board of trustees members, a fantastic PTA and an exceptionally supportive community.

Our vision is to realise each child’s unique potential so that they may find success. This is shown by the way we work together as a school and community to support our students to thrive while in our care.

We learn about our school values of manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, arohatanga and whanaungatanga and practise these every day. These values are the backbone of the culture of our school.

Lake Daniell - Tents Needed

Thank you to everyone who has already sent in their forms - much appreciated. If you still have forms at home, please have these back by tomorrow.

We are currently well over our bed allocation, so we’ll need a few tents to make sure everyone has a place to sleep. If you are able to bring a tent, please complete the tent form (found in the Forms section).

Photo Orders - in today please

Just a quick reminder to please get your photo envelopes in today. I know the timeframe says 3 December, but Scott (our photographer) wasn’t aware that we finish up on the 11th.

We’re hoping to send them away today so they can be back in time for the end of the year.

Lake Daniell Permissions - due this Friday

Kia ora,

Information and forms for our Lake Daniell trip next week went home yesterday.

Please complete these and have them back to the office by 9am this Friday so that I can make sure all of the correct RAMS documents are completed for the trip.

My apologies for the amount of paperwork that came home - for a trip classed as moderate to high risk, it’s important we follow the national guidelines.
